Artists and Animators

As mentioned in the last posts, Disney’s fact sheet, IMDb (whatever their source may have been), and the various parties themselves reveal or allege a list of talent involved in the production of Wander Over Yonder.

As proper, albeit prospective, fans, we can’t allow these people to languish at the level of just a fewscore Twitter or Tumblr followers. Hence, I’m publishing this series of posts throughout this week to promote their blogs and social media outlets. Follow away!

This list is necessarily far from compete, but to not unnecessarily curtail its comprehense, I’ll also mention those who don’t maintain such outlets (yet) or haven’t published them where we could find them.

And now the third part in the series, the artists working on Wander Over Yonder (minus the storyboarders, who I grouped with the writers in the last post).

The officially sanctioned part of this list is still rather short, unfortunately, but surely the credits of the first episode will soon reveal or confirm more of these talented folks.

image Joe Pitt, whose résumé includes Gravity Falls, was lead character designer “for the early part” of Wander Over Yonder, as he writes on his Tumblr account. He also runs the Straights Against Curves Tumblr and you can follow him on Twitter.

He recently posted a proof of concept of the title sequence, where he credited several more artists who contributed to it.

Vaughn Tada won a Primetime Emmy for his work on Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, according to his IMDb entry. In Joe Pitt’s credits it looks like he is storyboard artist, but given the uncertainty, I chose to group him with the artists and animators, so I don’t have to duplicate the explanation of my sourcing in the other post.

David Gemmill also posted his own animator’s perspective on conception and production of the title sequence on his Tumblr. You can also subscribe to him on Blogger. (However, he has since left the show.)

Justin Nichols is elusive! I remember, with a little help from another blog of mine, that there is a Justin Nichols who was junior storyboarder on a number of season 2 and 3 Friendship is Magic episodes and senior storyboarder on Sleepless in Ponyville, but that’s Canada. I imagine Justin Nichols is just a very popular name among artists. IMDb lists two possible candidates. You can find a few rather dusty blogs linked here.

Another recipient of Primetime Emmy and Annie Awards is Chris Tsirigiotis. You can find him on IMDb, Blogger, and Flickr.

Now to the people who are not officially listed but themselves state present or past involvement with Wander Over Yonder.
